All POC products are tested by professional athletes who contributes with experience and advise making it possible for POC to further develop and refine their products. Through hard work POC has developed lightweight products that provide the athlete with an extremely high level of protection and at the same time are flexible and comfortable. Therefore there are many professional athletes using POC's products. Some of these athletes contributes not only with their technological experience but also by designing their own POC products. POC has also developed products especially adapted for children. These POC products have taken in consideration the special needs a child product requires why they are some of the best products for your child. POC products that are adapted for children are called POCito. POCs products are divided into three different segments: Snow, Wheels and Eyes. POC has been awarded "Brand of the Year" (2009) in the Swedish sports trades most prestigious competition "Gear of the year".

POC’s VPD technique won the Swedish design award, Design S! (Swedish design award 2010)

Jury statement:

Attractive design that promises a safer journey for both cyclists and skiers. A further development of a shock-absorbent material from the automotive industry. The idea of building the protective back plate into a west is a model solution. Technological development close to the body in an extremely fast and competitive market.

VPD description:

The VPD system is POC’s latest generation of protective equipment for skiers and cyclists. The equipment has varying densities depending on which body part it is protecting. The material contains billions of microscopic air bubbles and is soft when exposed to low levels of energy. In contrast, when exposed to high levels of energy, the air does not have time to escape and the material become as hard as rock. The VPD System meets the toughest standards for back protectors by a wide margin but also functions as a protector for knees, elbows, tailbones and hips.

This was the third year in a row that POC won the Design S award.
